Stephanie Dufner, m.A. // Campaign advisor
Stephanie has nearly 20 years of experience in the field of marketing and communications. Her specialties include digital and print writing, internal communications, promotions, social media and media relations.
Before coming to Madeira, she worked through PRofessional Solutions at a national banking association and collaborated on an NIH client account, successfully overseeing promotional activities for a diabetes management and prevention campaign.
Stephanie also managed social media, media relations and internal communications at the National Office of The ALS Association. She was there when the Ice Bucket Challenge happened in 2014 and was responsible for responding to hundreds of queries from journalists and the public-at-large on the Association’s Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn accounts. While at the Association, she collaborated with its chapters on media outreach and served as editor for two internal publications.
Stephanie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida and graduated from Gonzaga University with a Master of Communication and Leadership Studies. Her thesis focused on gender depictions in digital and print media.
A member of Soroptimist International since 2009 and Toastmasters International since 2014, Stephanie now serves as Vice President, Public Relations, of A.C.E. Toastmasters. She is also a member of the Public Relations Society of America Gold Coast Chapter.
During her free time, Stephanie enjoys hiking with her dog Blade, cooking and baking.
