Madeira Public Relations partnered with the Second Chance Empowerment Foundation to plan and launch its I Became the Voice campaign.
Madeira developed the strategic plan for the campaign’s October launch, timed to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The campaign centered on personal stories of transformation and resilience. It featured voices representing five areas central to the foundation’s mission: domestic violence, women’s empowerment, youth empowerment, mental health and wellness, and workforce development.
Madeira worked directly with domestic violence survivors to help bring the campaign to life. We conducted interviews and developed content the foundation could share through its communications channels. Our team also designed and built the campaign’s website pages, creating a lasting place to feature and collect these stories. The pages also help visitors better understand the support SCEF provides to women and youth in St. Petersburg.
The campaign reached an even broader audience through a television interview highlighting the Second Chance Empowerment Foundation and its work in the community.
Madeira’s work with the foundation was made possible through a grant from Hypatia Collaborative. We are grateful for the funding that allowed us to elevate survivor voices and build greater awareness of the foundation’s mission.
