The Hermes Creative Awards competition honored Madeira with two gold awards for its work on behalf of The ALS Association's Washington, DC headquarters office. A communication plan created to grow the Ice Bucket Challenge into an annual fundraising and awareness building event as well as a newsletter aimed at helping both patients and their family caregivers cope with the challenges of the disease were each awarded.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies. The competition has grown into one of the largest of its kind in the world and includes entrants representing corporate marketing and communication departments; advertising agencies; PR firms; graphic design shops; production companies; web and digital creators; and freelancers.
Madeira is incredibly grateful to be recognized for such meaningful work and is particularly humbled by the families and people whose lives have been touched by ALS who generously gave their time and personal insights to deepen the impact of these projects.
