Madeira Public Relations is proud to support the first annual walk for NAMI Pinellas. With an emphasis on serving the health and wellness sector, we consistently see the impact mental health plays in every aspect of care from treatment to prevention.
Too often the stigma surrounding mental health stands in the way of those most needing support. This fear and anxiety of being judged or even discriminated against can cause some to delay or avoid seeking what is sometimes lifesaving treatment altogether.

Depression and anxiety should be discussed with the same ease and reverence as is associated with other common diseases like asthma or diabetes. Of course, a mental health condition should by no means be compared to any other illness. Yet, the way in which we treat people living with mental illness must engender the same love and compassion we extend to those coping with other chronic, treatable conditions.

By joining NAMI Pinellas for this year’s walk, it is our goal to elevate the conversation around mental health in our community and to spotlight the extraordinary work of this organization. We are all impacted by mental illness whether it be ourselves or someone we care about. In line with this year’s walk theme, we are proud to make it known that mental health is for all.
